Volleyball Gear and Accessories

FAQS

What should my child bring to a camp/ clinic?

Your child should bring knee pads, a water bottle, and good court shoes (cross trainers, basketball shoes, or volleyball shoes. They should not wear running shoes or crocs to play volleyball.

Refund/ Cancellation Policy

We cap each clinic at lower numbers than most programs. As a result, we frequently turn away new customers. That said, we do not offer refunds unless we are able to fill the spot before the session begins. We cannot refund last minute cancellations or cancellations once the clinic has begun. In addition, we do not offer refunds for individual sessions that a player might miss due to illness or injury (though if you report your absences in advance we will try to offer an alternate time to make up the missed session). (Missed sessions do not carry over once a new session has begun). Please check your schedule before signing up. In addition, we cannot guarantee the level of play in any group as the level is always variable and depends on the skills of the players who enroll. Please talk with Coach Bublick about a group if you have specific questions.

Inclement Weather

We follow the MCPS weather cancellations.  If we have to cancel a clinic due to inclement weather, we will try to schedule a makeup session. We cannot offer refunds of single sessions due to inclement weather.

Do you offer any competitive teams?

At present, we do not offer any competitive teams.  We are focused on offering good quality and affordable instruction. We are happy to point you in the direction of other clubs that do offer teams.

Late beginner/ Early Intermediate: a play who has some experience with the sport (i.e. they have taken clinics previously at Bethesda Volleyball, MoCo Rec, or have received coaching (not just playing). They are working on their basic skills, but still have difficulty passing, setting, hitting, or serving. Most players who have played MoCo Rec will fall in this category or beginner.

Beginner: a player who is new the sport or who has not played consistently enough in order to pass, serve, and set the ball consistently. Most players who have played MoCo Rec will fall in this category or late beginner.
